The Sausage Aliyah II
The shell of luxury often fell apart before my eyes, intensifying my preoccupation with the processes of "becoming like..." within the boundaries of my family. Among the neighborhoods of the city of Acre, where I was born and raised, I set up several filming locations where I directed my family members. 90's USSR Immigrants from the former Soviet Union. The scenes, costumes, and lighting were designed according to the characters and the space.
This serie of photographs maintain a dialogue between generations and genders, examining social conventions and norms that have been abandoned or shaped over the years. The alternative reality that I offer creates a look into my family unit through a gaze saturated with identities that lies in the gaps of time.
