The encounters with the prisoners inside the prison Shatta and their life stories were often intense and charged, and aroused complex feelings which overflowed personal life experiences and discussed deep social issues. Through conversations with the prisoners, we've helped each other process our experiences, and towards the end of this journey the project started to form. Due to the prohibition on bringing cameras or other devices other than recording devices into the prison, I relied on audio and written documentation, creating the visual elements using personal documented materials.
